No legal entity has been registered for this service yet. The operator must supply an entity name, address, and jurisdiction before these terms bind anyone. Until then, this document describes the intended terms of use but does not constitute a legally enforceable agreement.
Favscan is currently a demonstration prototype that scans URLs using pre-loaded example data. The scanner on the App page runs entirely in your browser — no server-side fetching is performed. You may use it to explore what a real favicon scanner would report.
Favscan does not require an account. There is no registration, login, or persistent user data of any kind. Each scan is independent and no history is retained.
Scan results are displayed in your browser based on pre-loaded example data and are not stored, logged, or retained by the service. Because no server-side fetching is currently performed, no URL you enter is transmitted to any server.
The tool is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The tool may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.
The planned server-side version of Favscan will run on Cloudflare Workers, which has known platform limitations. These do not affect the current client-side demo but are documented here for future reference:

Free tier. The Free tier of Favscan requires no payment and no account. All features described as Free on the Pricing page are available at no cost.
Pro subscription (planned). The Pro tier is not yet launched. When launched, it will be available as a monthly subscription at the price stated on the Pricing page (currently $9 per month). Subscriptions will renew automatically each month.
No payment processor connected today. Favscan does not currently have a payment processor connected. No real payments are collected, processed, or stored. The checkout form on the Pricing page is a demonstration only and does not create a valid purchase or subscription.
Failed payments (future). When a payment processor is connected and Pro subscriptions are active, a failed payment will trigger automatic retries. After 5 days of unsuccessful retries, access to Pro features will be suspended. The subscription will be canceled automatically if payment is not collected within 15 days of the original billing date.
Refund policy (future). Refunds will be provided at the operator's discretion for verified billing errors or duplicate charges. Because Pro is not yet available and no payments are being taken, no refund obligations currently exist. This policy will be updated when the Pro tier launches.

These terms may be updated at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
