Favscan — which favicon is missing?

Favscan is a demonstration prototype that shows you what a favicon scanner would report. Paste a URL and see realistic example results — no server-side scanning is performed yet.

Demonstration prototype. The scanner on the App page runs entirely in your browser with pre-canned example data. Server-side scanning is planned but not yet built — no real URL is fetched and no icon file is actually requested.

What it checks

How it works

01

Paste any URL into the scanner — a blog, a SaaS product, anything with a public page. The tool matches your domain against pre-loaded example data.

02

Favscan looks up example results for that site and displays a simulation of what a real scan would find. No actual fetch is performed.

03

Read a compact results table showing which icons would be present, which would be wrong, and what a browser, a search result, and an iOS home screen would each end up using — all based on pre-compiled example data.
